Something doesn’t make sense with this poster ad on the DFW Airport skylink tram.
Do you see what I saw?
If I’m advertising a “treat yourself” occasion at the airport during the hullabaloo of holiday travel, I’m choosing something more treat worthy than a low-fat soft pretzel. There are lots of "treat yourself" opportunities at DFW Airport that out indulge a basic pretzel.
I don't quite understand why a basic pretzel would be so appetizing in the first place...
Why not chocolate?
It's nearing Xmas after all.

I agree this could be dressed up a bit more, but placement is key. If this ad is located within the olefactory reach of Auntie Anne's strategically directed oven blowers (you know, the ones that overpower you with goodness), it might make a lot more sense--or scents, if you prefer...

Is this poster one of a series? I could see a number of posters with different things to buy for "them" and different "treats" for you, all chosen from among the offerings at the airport.

I am not familiar with DFW airport. Are these types of pretzels common?
If the airport is putting up these posters, my guess is they went with something very generic so that the landlord wouldn't be seen a favoring one tenant over another.
Think of it micro-level PC/multiculturalism. The end result is bland and uninspiring.

A treat is in the eye of the beholder. I believe they felt that if they started with basics, they could let the reader's imgination transport them to their own next level of imagined treat.

I agree with Luann. Right now, that pretzel is looking good for me.
