Over the weekend I bought and read Erik Qualman's SOCIALNOMICS book. It's a deep dive into how social media transforms the way we live and do business.
In chapter seven, Erik writes about "Winners and Losers in a 140-Character World." One line jumped out at me as a brilliant way to explain the best approach for businesses participating in the online conversation.
Wait, don't hold out on this review. Say more, say more!

I saw the video but haven't read the book (I suppose a trip to Barnes & Noble is in order for today). Like you, I really dig that quote (again, I saw it in the video).
That'll be two books I'm reading now: "Trust Agents" and "Socialnomics". w00t!

That is a very powerful sentence...
I'm going to have to put this on my 'to read list'.
Thanks for sharing,
Karl

That is a nice quote. You haven't quite sold it for me yet. What other nuggets of info/topics does he discuss?

Not sure I'm the right person to sell ya on the book ... this video from the author is a great selling tool: http://socialnomics.net/video/

Unfortunately, while socialnomiocs’ author Erik Qualman may be a Social Media expert, he tends to be somewhat naïve and foolish when it comes to general brand management.
