I've been updating a blog site chronicling my Mother's journey with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Today I added a photo gallery to the blog but wanted to find a super-cool slideshow application. My searching found many slideshow apps but I'm most pleased with Slide.com. It was easy to upload, arrange, title, and share. "The Ken Burns Effect" of making static images active is what sold me.
Here's what I did in a matter of minutes...
That's a beautiful slide show. And I know it's tough with you mom now...she certainly is a lovely person, and I'm sure she still is. Nice tribute.

That's a very cool tribute to your Mom. The right photos are often more powerful than words. Thanks for sharing this.
John, I am wondering if such a slideshow can be integrated into a web site other than a typepad blog or MySpace account?

Frank & Rich ... thanks for your kind words.
It looks like you can integrate a Slide.com slideshow into a website. From the HELP page on Slide.com we learn this...
How can I add a Slide Show to a site I built?
Our Slide Shows will work in any site that allows Flash Objects. If you're building your own site and using a page builder of some sort, usually these applications have a 'Source code' or 'Edit HTML' section that you'll be able to paste the code into. You'll need to refer to the help section for that particular web building application if you're unsure as to where this section is.
