I just returned from a speaking gig in Anchorage, Alaska. Had never been to Alaska and hadn’t experienced super-cold temperatures since my days in Denver in the late 90s. But glad I did.
On Friday I had all day to myself in Anchorage and besides hitting a few brewpubs, I also managed to see a magnificent sunset. Oh my ...

I lived atop a mountain in the middle of Alaska's tundra for a year, at the please of the Air Force, about 160 miles west of Anchorage. The sunsets are great; the months of twilight, not so much.
