Well I would say advertising is positioning and PR is communications.

I´m agree with the sentence,...but for example.. If a newspaper talks about you what´s that?
Sometimes is PR, because you don´t pay for it.
Another times is advertising because you pay for a space in the columns of the newspaper.
What think people about information that they read in newspaper? A great part of them think that is advertising.
