Okay ... I've been way too lax in churning out the sixth installment of Worthy Reads | Worthless Reads (WRWR). I'll get around too it soon. In the meantime, below is an image of books I've recently read or plan to read. No doubt some of these will appear on WRWR #6.
(As long as you are here, consider revisting vintage WRWR posts ... One, Two, Three, Four, and Five.)

What are you going to accomplish with all that knew knowledge?

Chris ... the reason I read is in hopes of becoming a smarter, more knowledgeable marketer. In becoming a smarter, more knowledgeable marketer, I hope to accomplish more for myself, my business, and my clients.

I just started Undercover Economist and Broken Windows, Broken Business. Both are great so far. The Broken Window Theory really intrigues me. I am a teacher and I see countless ways I could implement this into my school.
I have even been writing a script based on the theory. The plot is secret, you have to wait and see...haha.

Pile of books at the side of my desk looks pathetic in comparison - also looks a bit retro as I'm re-reading a couple.
Maverick by Ricardo Semler is fab...
I'll upload a picture and trackback...

Aw, shucks, John. Thanks. I'm honored to have my book on your stack.
Just finished Naked Conversations, which ruuuuuuled, and started The Rules of Business, put out by the editors at Fast Company. It's a quote book. Should be good.

Don't bother reading PyroMarketing. It is a complete waste of time. Half of the book literally talks about the science of fire and the other half...well I didn't get that far cuz I was getting sooo annoyed by the fire metaphor.
By the way, "A Purpose-Driven Church" by Rick Warren is also a great read. I didn't see in the above pic, but worth mentioning as John recommended to me.

Wow, I'm just trying to continue to read on a daily basis with my busy life...your book pile spurs me on to read more often!

Having trackback issues, but I responded with a photo of my stack of current reads.
I have stack envy.
By the way, I enjoyed Get Back in the Box by Rushkoff. I think he could have worked to be clearer about the message of the book, but theres a ton of great info and ideas.

I just noticed the Andy Law book in your stack. I loved Creative Company. I'll have to check out Experiment at Work. Love to hear your take on it sometime.

REALLLY glad that someone else has a huge pile of books they can't get to that they passionately add to. Also glad to hear someone use the phrase "stack envy" - I'm going to rope that into my regular verbage. I can only wonder at how much the pile of money that goes into the monetary assets cries when it is compared to the pile of money that is spent on consuming more products from the factory of paper and ideas. I probably spend the the GNP of a small Indonesian country on books...
